Accreditation
Continued education for our clients is a vital part of our program at Liahona Academy. We offer a year-round academic program with a setting focused on the individual needs of each client. In most cases Individual Education Plans are created for each client upon admissions into our program. Liahona Academy’s academic program is characterized by classrooms staffed by certified and licensed teachers, who are assisted by teacher aides, with a maximum of eight clients per classroom. The academic curriculum is designed to help our clients make progress in recovering lost credits and work towards making up the credits needed in earning a high school diploma. Our unique small class size provides carefully tailored, tutor-like teaching, which provides our clients an educational experience that is rarely provided in public schools.
The academic side of our program works in conjunction with our treatment team to provide a consistent continuum of care that addresses all aspects of the client’s treatment plan. Requirements for graduation from Liahona Academy follow the same requirements established by the Utah State Office of Education and our academic program is fully accredited through Global Commission which meets its criteria for quality education.
