Home like setting and comfortable sleeping and personal space

Spacious facilities with home like settings. Dorms allow for 4 clients to one sleeping space with storage space in each facility for personal belongings.

Treatment plans are created using the initial assessment to obtain family and client input to ensure that treatment is individualized based on the clients strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
Therapy is an effective element that we utilize to accomplish our overall design to help students build inner strength, overcome behavioral problems, develop good communication and problem solving skills. Individual Therapy is provided to help boys recognize greater insight into their behavior and give them an opportunity to establish a relation-ship of trust with their Counselor. In this private environment, boys are able to sort out issues that may be too difficult for them to reveal to others in a group environment. Group Therapy includes leadership training groups, special interest groups, anger management, drug abuse treatment, educational lectures, victim awareness groups, and positive peer groups. Family Therapy Sessions are offered at the transitional point of the Program, when a student is nearing the time of returning home so there are no residual issues that are not resolved

A minimum of 30 hours a week of structured groups and therapy groups

Each client and family are assigned a Case Manager to oversee treatment and care

Our Treatment Team is made up of interdisciplinary staff members who meet and discuss clients’ progress in the program, and any changes to the clients’ program.

Medication management is provided by contracted psychiatric personnel who are licensed to prescribe.
Individualized crisis intervention and safety planning based on the client’s individual needs.

Liahona Academy’s accredited academic program and fully licensed teaching staff provides your child with a positive learning environment. Our curriculum is designed to allow students to advance at their own pace neither hindering their development nor allowing them to advance before they are ready. The Academy has a reputation for accommodating a wide variety of learning styles by using various teaching strategies from room study to hands-on learning

Physical activities, exercise, and sports are a part of the daily schedule and structure promoting health and wellness.
Through Treatment Plan updates, clinical supervision and meetings, Treatment Team meetings, and Individual and Family therapy sessions, progress made in the program is monitored to ensure each client is successful.
